Happy Friday The 13th! Wait, that's not the saying? Opps... I guess I just cursed you for the rest of your days.
So today is a day that happens at least twice a year and during the 1980s was marked with a movie of the same title. Yet this Friday The 13th we garner with a different type of movie it's the inevitable return of three stooges or if you will what I should have said THREE STOOGES!!! Because I need to capitalize the nouns.
Yes, the Farrelly Brothers have used magic and with the help from Doc Brown gone back in time and saved the Stooges. Or just went out and remade the characters with people who are alive today. And we will see if all this hard work will pay off.
So how does Friday The 13th and the Three Stooges mix? Or if you will how do they go hand in hand? Or don't they? To put it simply and be blunt and to the point. They don't. It doesn't go hand and hand.
But maybe a new tradition will be born. Who knows? Or maybe it will be an escape clause. That maybe this movie which has been on/off and off and then on again for over a decade is so bad that maybe just maybe the day itself will be blamed for it. Who knows? Only those going out today to watch it I suppose.
According to numerous sources though, it sucks. Sadly I hope these are wrong. Due to the fact that we are in a strong need for a comedy team it's been a while. Yes, yes, we have a few groupings of comedians but it's not a long lasting group like the original Stooges. Or even the Marx Brothers were.
Hell, back in the day in which your grandparents or even your grandparents grandparents were rocking this planet like you do today the comedy team was the way things were. And yet, today... Well, today we don't have much of anything.
Yes, we have the cast of Saturday Night Live, that's not the same. We had the short lived show Stella. Not the same. We have sitcoms.... but it's not the same. NO!! It's not the same.
Maybe things will change! Hopefully they will. A strong comedy team is needed to save this economy. Don't believe me? Let me put your head in a vice grip to get the point across. You KNUCKLEHEAD!!
