So we've all see the new flavor of soda that's out right? I mean, the one Emo Eric announced to the world that he drank.
Well, there is another new and improved taste that the Pepsi-Co Company has brought us. This time it's on the Diet Schweppes Ginger Ale and so isn't the fancy little logo to go with it. Yes, the fanfare for it hasn't backed the likes of Pepsi Next, yet, it's still new and improved or at least it says it is.
So the taste has been altered how? I mean ginger ale has been around since before the American Revolution and by my wrist watch that's a long time. So is the diet part changed? Maybe that's the thing that has changed. I'm not a scientist but I know one thing that if they continue to alter things around that have already been altered we're in a world of hurt.
But it also got me to thinking what else would people change the taste or improve something on. Is there anything that can be changed or is it all a big con by these companies to trick us into buying something?
Well, let's take a look at a few things that we could change that would deliver a better taste.
Nabisco's Cheese Nips "New Nips"
Cheese Nips have always been a tasty snack for me, they're similar to those Cheez-Itz but they're well, made by a different company. I guess this is Nabisco's idea to register better sales. Add a few nips. Everyone loves nips!
Chevy Trucks "Now Just A Rock"
Forever and a day ago, Chevy Trucks has the motto "Like A Rock" well, they've decided to go ahead and skip along to "Now Just A Rock." For some of us who've owned a Chevy Truck or even van we've seen this theory already in motion or rather not motion. Now with this new motto they're trying to show how tough and how green the truck company really is.
Lays Chips "New Air In Every Bag"
The Frito-Lays Company has gone ahead and skipped the fact they're bags have more air than chips in them. Now they're showcasing that yes, we do put air in the bags but we're actually going ahead and putting new air in the bag. Which begs the question "was that old air before? And what is old air?"
Kentucky Fried Chicken "Now More Beef Taste"
While the world is trying to get healthy, KFC is trying to help you and themselves. They're working on getting away from the fried yucky positioning and get to a more healthy version. Although adding beef to their chicken may be the wrong way to go. Not only do people get scared off by the pink slime that was added to beef but the question of how do they mix the two?
Smirnoff Vodka "Water'd Down"
Now a hundred years ago back when I was in High School, I could have really used this. Or at least slapped this sticker on after I had helped myself to the Vodka. Because for some reason once you empty the entire bottle of vodka it somehow gets filled up again with water. I don't understand it either. It's odd, it just happens like that. Must be after you put it back into your parents liquor cabinet and shut the door. Cause I wouldn't drink vodka under age and then replace it with water.
