When people tell me that wrestling isn't real or wrestling is fake, which I suppose is the same statement just a flip flopped way of saying it. I tend to get upset. Who wouldn't when someone tells you that something you enjoy isn't what you believe it is or feel it is.
So usually I get all defensive and say things like "Well, you've never seen South Philly wrestling." or "Have you ever heard of Big Japan Pro Wrestling? They had a Piranha Death Match"
Then the said individual usually jokes about that nobody ever dies in a death match. And so on and so on..
Which makes me even more aggravated and then all of a sudden I'm beating them up, or at least inside my head I am.
Yet in the same instance when someone mentions something is real that they saw on wrestling I'm the first one to say "Na, that sh*t ain't real" But in all reality it may be real. I'm just a heavy doubter of the mark. A mark is a term on endearment, or one that is used in the wrestling world as someone who enjoys the opinions of Mark Madden. He's a radio personality that used to do some color commentating for WCW back in the day.
Moving on ward, I don't know how to say this. But I'm going to include a video in my post. This video is from the year 2002.... Wow, can't believe it's been that long ago. Wait, it's been 10 years!? Damn.
The video is, well, the two videos, are of Michael Shane, he's a wrestler taking on another wrestler named Paul London. They're in a small gym in the Philadelphia region near the South side of things of course. It was for a small wrestling promotion called Ring Of Honor.
Oh, it's a ladder match. Plus you may or may not see my face in the crowd. If you can find me.... you will win the prize.. Comment if you find me, comment if you want to win a million dollars....
By the way... you don't think this match was significant? Well, these two stars both got big career enhancements because of this and they made a t-shirt for this match. Usually they don't make a t-shirt after something, usually before, but never after....
