With the recent news that not only did I but also Matt had predicted that the Los Angeles Angels would win the American League West division something occurred. Something monumental of sorts, something that has taken then headlines by charge.
What!? What am I talking about did our predictions over take the world wide news? Sadly, no. But with us both choosing to pick that the Angels would win the division rather than last years winners the Texas Rangers. Something had to be done!
That something? Send the police after the Angels!?
Whoa, whoa. Why not just go out and sign someone? Why not just sit back and take your talent to the field and do the very best that you can. Well, why not just call the police?
Okay, okay.. So the real story is that Los Angeles Angels center fielder Torii Hunter was at home lying on his couch watching the television, wow, just like me. When he spotted two police officers stirring in his backyard.
The police officers were called upon when his house's alarm was triggered. Thus signify to the authorities and to the house itself an intruder was inside. Well, after a phone call to his wife, Torii's wife, went unanswered the police went on to find out what was going on.
According to Torii, he had seen the cops and saw that they had their guns drawn out. They screamed at the All-Star baseball player to show them his hands. While they wondered if he was allowed to live there his wife sat elsewhere laughing it up.
Yes, I said laughing it up. Because she was currently in Texas while this incident occurred. Now yes, I'm not oblivious to the size of Texas or the size of the world, but she was in Texas.
Thus making the conclusion she was in the Ft. Worth area dealing with the extra money she was handed by the Texas Rangers, who, are named after police. Come on see Chuck Norris.
Now most of this is hearsay but Hunter himself said he owns a pistol and it was currently upstairs along with his identification card. Thus leading to the conclusion that if Hunter had a gun and actually had it in his hand, then see.....
So basically Torii's wife, let's call her Stan, seeing as he has a female name. Was payed of by the Texas Rangers to be killed off to help the Rangers win the division.
Yes, some of this is far fetched. But why else would this be news worthy?
