Okay.... Yes.... Hmmm... Interesting...
Oh, sorry. I was watching ESPN's SportsCenter, they're talking about this guy named Peyton Manning. He's a quarterback, who will, recently released from a 5 year 90 million dollar contract with the Indiapolis Colts. He signed it less than a year ago. There's a lot of buzz about what's going to happen with him. As there has been for the past few months, yet, with the recent release there is even more a buzz. Where will he go? Who will he sign with? Is he still healthy enough to play? See this past year he suffered a injury, a injury of epic proportions. One he did suffer earlier in his career, but this time it hurt a little bit more. It was something to do with nerve damage in his neck and shoulder. Something of that sorts, I'm no doctor sorry. This injury forced him out of the season, this past one. And due to that, his age, which will soon be 36 years old. As well as a roster bonus of 28 or 25 million dollars the Colts decided to part ways with the quarterback.
Thus leading to the sports media, and well, the media itself to buzz about where he will go. Will the injury force him to retire? All signs are pointing to know on that front. But what team then will he sign with? All 32 National Football League teams were then presented. Which ones won't he go to? Which one's would he choose? Which teams need him the most... and so on and so on. Now there is a few teams that we can quickly take off this list, such as the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers. Due to their teams already having established quarterbacks in which their teams aren't worried about. Mainly because they're currently the correct age -- not too young or too old. Don't make too much money. And well, they somewhat like them. The current Super Bowl champions New York Giants are also a team not contending. Not due to their team not wanting him or winning the Super Bowl. But mainly because Peyton Manning's brother Eli currently works there. As the quarterback of course. And well, it would be quite rude for Peyton and/or the Giants to make the connection. We don't want to recreate the Civil War here or even an episode of Maury. As for the teams that could contend? Any team that does not have an established quarterback or a rookie quarterback already that they don't believe has talent. Teams are coming out of the wood work currently. Well, I don't know how that phrase works so well. But....
Teams like the Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, Tennesse Titans, and even playoff contenders San Francisco Giants have been in contention of landing the MVP QB. As well as teams like the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys have been briefly mentioned. Yet those aren't quite possibilites because Mark Sanchez and Tony Romo are there. And well, even though one's a homo, it'd be rude either way. Yet, it wouldn't be rude for Peyton to travel to Denver and become the quarterback there. Because well Tim Tebow isn't all that good. At being a quarterback, that is. Tebow has yes, won games. Yet, he's no Peyton Manning. While Tebow does indeed have talent, he's not that good. Now one of the Denver's executive may have some impact on bringing Manning to the Broncos. It's no other than a possible New York Yankee prospect John Elway. While Elway himself is now a retired quarterback with some great talent shown on the field, one has to wonder, could he sign Peyton? Maybe he could say.... "Hey, look, this is my jersey, you and I could both have our names next to each other. Would you like that?" It could work.
But then what about.... If the Miami Dolphins retired quarterback Dan Marino said the same thing about his jersey and Peyton going to his former team? And if we are going to open that box.... What about the 49ers? I've seen Steve Young mentioning Peyton going to the bay area team. What if they bring out Joe Montanta as well? The possibilities are endless. Who do I think Peyton Manning will choose? Good question. If I knew this, I would well, be a billionaire. Or at least have five dollars in my pants. Will he even continue to play football? Will he just decided to retire and leave millions of dollars on the table? Is he healthy enough to sustain a entire season of grueling competition? Or will he just go out and sign with the next best thing? He is getting very up there in age... I mean he is old. Very old. Compared to the life of a minute. My personal thought though... he should join the 49ers... They have the talent. And that any other team would just be another team he has to control and lead. The 49ers would be much easier! Not only were they in the playoffs last year. The defense they have is one of the top 5 in the entire NFL. They have a decent running game. And they just recently signed Mario Manningham and Randy Moss. Now one of those two will be in the Hall Of Fame. And well, the other, is pretty good too. So with all that said and what not. Which team do you think Manning will go to?
